Sermon Insights (“we”, “us”) operates sermoninsights.com, a free website of AI-generated sermon study summaries. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. The site is published by Milvi OÜ (same team behind the Sermon Notes app).

What we collect

• Email address: if you subscribe to our weekly digest or pastor notifications. We also store optional tags such as which page you signed up from or which pastor you follow.
• Analytics data: if you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read (approximate location, device type, pages viewed). IP addresses may be anonymized.
• Advertising measurement: if you accept cookies, we may use the Meta Pixel and Google Ads tags to measure whether our ads lead to site visits or app installs. We do not sell your personal data.
• Server logs: our host may log IP address, browser type, and requested URL for security and debugging (standard web hosting).

Cookies & consent

When you first visit, a banner lets you accept all or reject non-essential cookies. Non-essential cookies include analytics and advertising measurement. Essential cookies are not used for tracking profiles.

Your choice is stored in your browser (localStorage) so we do not ask on every page. You can clear site data in your browser to reset your choice.

In the EU/UK and similar regions, we only enable marketing/analytics tags after you opt in, consistent with Google Consent Mode.

Email & newsletters

If you subscribe, we send a weekly digest of new sermon summaries. Pastor-specific signup forms tag your interest so we can eventually tailor content (e.g. new summaries from that teacher).

Where required by law, we use double opt-in: you must click a confirmation link in email before we treat your subscription as active.

Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe. You may also email privacy@sermoninsights.com to be removed.

How we use data

• Operate and improve the website
• Send the newsletter you requested
• Measure traffic and ad performance (with consent)
• Respond to legal requests and protect against abuse

Third parties

• Google: Analytics, Ads, Tag Manager (subject to Google’s privacy policy)
• Meta: advertising pixel (subject to Meta’s privacy policy)
• Buttondown (optional): if enabled, email addresses may be synced to our newsletter provider
• Hosting (zone.ee): serves the website from servers in the EU

Retention

Email subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data retention follows Google’s default settings (typically 14 months for GA4). Server logs are rotated by our host.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact privacy@sermoninsights.com. EU/UK residents may lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised policy.
